Mike is the Senior Partner with Jericho Partners and a recognised authority on leadership coaching.
He has been working to improve the performance of leaders and organisations for over 13 years - helping his clients to deliver increased returns and more rapid achievement of corporate visions. Mike also works with the Center for Creative Leadership in Brussels on their leadership development programmes and is on the faculty of The School of Coaching where he delivers coach training programmes. He works with coaches and mentors as a supervisor to help them ensure the quality of their work and to support them in their professional development.
Mike's first work roles built on his doctorate in Artificial Intelligence, acting as a project manager and consultant for OASiS and the PA Consulting Group. After training as a psychotherapist Mike worked with individuals and teams as a developer, counselor, coach and mentor before founding Mentoring for Change in 1995, building a specialist focus on leadership coaching and mentoring. Mentoring for Change and Wilson Newell merged in 2006 to create Jericho Partners.
Mike brings a deep understanding of individual change and releasing leadership potential to his coaching practice. This approach is positive and solution focused, helping leaders find personal inspiration and inspire others. He facilitates his client's personal growth, improving performance in their current role and enabling them to manage change more effectively. Mike challenges clients to develop greater self-awareness, improving their ability to manage their communication and their impact on others. He enables clients to build more productive working relationships with individuals and teams. Mike leaves his clients with an improved ability to learn from their experience both as individuals and as groups
Mike is a Professional Certified Coach with the ICF, a Certified Management Consultant, a Fellow of the RSA, and a Chartered Engineer. He is a founder member of the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS), has a Certificate in Coaching Supervision, and is a member of the British Computer Society.
Mike has a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counseling, a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters degree in Systems Engineering and a Doctorate awarded for research into Artificial Intelligence. He is also a trustee of the charity Green and Away which creates convivial environments that transform people.
